Early Careers Training Programme
Supporting new teachers to thrive from day one.
Supporting new teachers to thrive from day one
Starting a teaching career is exciting, challenging, and full of potential. The Department for Education sets out a clear entitlement for all Early Career Teachers (ECTs), ensuring they receive the right support during their first two years in the profession.
We are proud to be an official provider of this training in partnership with Teach First, with Tees Valley Teaching School Hub acting as our Appropriate Body. This collaboration allows us to broaden our impact and share our expertise across the region.
Our programme is strengthened by the involvement of highly experienced teachers from across our primary and secondary schools. Acting as mentors, they guide ECTs through high quality training sessions and provide personalised support.
A collaborative programme built around real support
One of the most valued aspects of the programme is the face-to-face training seminars. During this time all the ECTs get together with leading teachers from across our Trust, sharing ideas, asking questions, and building strong professional networks.
This collaborative culture has become a defining feature of the programme, helping early career teachers feel connected, confident, and supported as they develop their classroom practice.
